The 8th Annual Gatlinburg Fine Art Festival is a family oriented attraction that will take place over Labor Day weekend 2012, August 31 to September 2. The festival features many juried artists from across the country. It is one of the great Gatlinburg attractions for locals and visitors alike.
Along with the fine art being displayed at the festival, visitors can enjoy selections of Appalachian music from local performers. Local artists also provide demonstrations on a variety of craft techniques. There is also a special kids area where they can participate in a range of fun activities, including make some crafts. And if you and your family get hungry, there are plenty of food vendors at the festival to enjoy.
Visitors enjoying local Gatlinburg cabins can easily find the art festival. The festival takes place on the campus of Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in downtown Gatlinburg. Admission is free, so if you are staying in Gatlinburg lodging, come and enjoy the art, music and food of this great city.
