Dates, Times and Location
The Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales event runs during the peak summer season from Friday, June 22 to Saturday, August 11. The group of personalities and performers arrives nightly at 6 p.m. in the center of downtown Gatlinburg. At that point, you will witness a magical transformation from sidewalk to stage as the characters scatter throughout town for a wonderful evening of entertainment and storytelling! If you plan to stroll the Parkway in the evening, you are sure to run into some of this unique entertainment that only happens during the summer!
Parking Information
There are plenty of public parking lots available in downtown Gatlinburg where you can park your car for the evening. While it can be tough finding free parking, you might get lucky enough to get one of the free spots next to the river along River Road from Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies to the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Otherwise, there are several paid parking facilities in Gatlinburg where you can park for a nominal fee.
